Company Clash 1.01 Patch Notes

Company Clash 1.01 Patch Notes

New Challonge and Discord integrations, bug fixes, and more in our first platform update.

Welcome to all of our new Beta testers! In our 1.01 Patch, we’ll be implementing new Challonge and Discord integrations in preparation for the beginning of our Beta Leagues, as well as a slew of bug fixes and visual improvements across the board.

As a reminder, registration for our Beta Leagues for League of Legends, Valorant, Dota 2, and MTG Arena end in about one week. You can still manage your rosters and add new players after registration ends, so just make sure your team is created before the deadline if you’re planning to play.

New Features

Challonge Bracket Integration

Over the past decade, our team has favored Challonge as a star platform for tournament operations. Rather than create a new tournament platform, we reached out to the Challonge team to integrate their API directly into our platform as a cohesive experience. Here’s what that means:

  • View and navigate Single-Elim, Double-Elim, Round Robin, or Swiss Brackets directly in the “Brackets” tab of any competition
  • View and manage your team’s current and upcoming competition matches on either the “Matches” tab or on Discord
  • Match notifications and reminders via Company Clash in-app notifications, desktop notifications, or Discord match channels

Discord Match Channels

Discord has consistently been an industry favorite for growing communities and playing with friends, two core parts of the Company Clash experience. Because most players already use Discord for in-game communication, we decided to use Discord for all pre-match scheduling and communication as well. Here’s what that means:

  • When your team is assigned a new match, you’ll be automatically placed into a Discord match channel for your upcoming match
  • Team captains will be able to use the match channel to chat, discuss schedules, or ask for assistance from our Tournament Admins

As a prerequisite for this feature, all team captains will need to link their Discord account to their Company Clash account and join the Company Clash Discord before matches begin.

What’s Ahead

Right now, we’re focused on polishing our competition experience before the Beta Season officially begins on September 10. Our first Benefit Tournaments — free-to-play, single-day tournaments — for Valorant and League of Legends will also take place on September 12, and will benefit the nonprofit RAINN. We’ve been working on some fun charity-focused features for Benefit Tournaments that we’re excited to reveal soon!

Lastly, we wanted to give a quick thank-you to all of our new members, players, and organizers who have joined us since launch. Please continue to hang out with us on Discord and share your feedback over the coming season!

This was our first major update to the Company Clash platform since our Beta launch. We’ll be posting patch notes every time we have major improvements to discuss.
